The status of waste management such as municipal solid waste, industrial waste, and waste generated by fishing and abandoned ships, which is related to environmental conservation of coastal areas, is reported.
(2) Industrial waste
Industrial waste is disposed of by industrial companies which generate industrial waste, and the industrial companies submit monthly or annual reports on generation volume and disposal of their industrial waste to DOE Hormozgan.
The data of industrial waste generated in the province does not seem to be aggregated and is not available for the JICA Project Team.
According to DOE Hormozgan, the construction of a landfill site for industrial waste is now planned in the province, and design work and EIA study will be conducted.
